I was born and raised in Akron, Ohio. Family tradition led me to attend a Canadian boarding school, Ridley College for high school. I attended Boston University and upon graduation worked at Coopers & Lybrand. I married my high school sweetheart and moved to Colombia in 1996. I hold a Master’s in Education from University of Alabama. I am also a Certified Educational Planner, a small group of professionals in the college counseling profession. To better serve our students, pursuing professional development and visiting college campuses are top priorities for me. I love living in Colombia and introducing our advisees to the world of higher education in the US and beyond. One of my favorite parts of the counseling process is connecting with our students by talking about my own international experiences and having the time to have a little fun along the way as they take this very exciting next step in their lives.
